GiveMeaning™ offers a way to help tsunami victims

Vancouver, BC — January 13, 2005
In response to the hundreds of thousands left homeless, traumatized, and disabled by the tsunami in South East Asia, Plenteus Technologies has expanded its GiveMeaning™ program to enable Canadians to connect with and donate directly to local aid groups operating in the affected areas. Donors wishing to offer support can visit GiveMeaning's new Tsunami Response Project, at

www.givemeaning.com/tsunami.

The site provides clear and detailed information on four lesser-known but internationally respected non-profit organisations that are serving the needs of devastated communities.

"GiveMeaning™ users have told us they are anxious to help," says Plenteus founder, Tom Williams. "A majority of gift cards redeemed immediately after the tsunami hit were directed to international aid groups, but our donors also asked us to identify alternative organisations working on the ground. In response, and in keeping with GiveMeaning's mission to level the playing field for all charities large and small, we have found four amazing groups and made them part of our donor program."

GiveMeaning's Tsunami Response Organisations
EFICOR: Operating in India, EFICOR provides emergency relief of dry rations, utensils, bedding, water, and sanitation facilities, as well as livelihood restoration and trauma counselling.

Food for the Hungry: Operating in Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, Food for the Hungry attends both to victim's physical and spiritual needs in an effort to give hope in a seemingly hopeless situation.

International Medical Corps (IMC): Operating in Indonesia, IMC conducts mobile clinics, secures clean drinking water, distributes hygiene and sanitation kits and food, and mobilizes local health care workers to deliver these vital services.

ZOA: Operating in Sri Lanka and India, ZOA recovers and transports bodies, transports survivors, supplies clean drinking water, shelter, food, and household necessities, helps returning families repair their houses, and provides temporary shelter and sanitation facilities, while also helping victims to deal with the psycho-social effects of the disaster.

Involvement in Plenteus is free to all charitable groups. Groups not yet registered are encouraged to do so by visiting the "For Non-Profits" section at www.Plenteus.com

In addition to GiveMeaning™, Plenteus will soon roll out a number of other donor initiatives from monthly giving to retail loyalty programs.
