A team of us in Vancouver are getting together for the 22nd annual Walk for Life fundraiser for the BC Persons with AIDS Society. "With an estimated 55,000 Canadians infected with HIV - and 12,000 to 15,000 in BC alone - it is events like the AIDS WALK for LIFE that play a critical role in increasing community awareness and raising much needed funds for people living with HIV and AIDS in our community."- BC Persons with AIDS Society.
Aaron Fitchett and myself are co-captains for the RED HOT Team and have come up with tons of fun fundraising ideas for those who want to join us such as: office floral arrangement, cookie sales and guess how much candy is in the jar? games! As of right now we have set a goal for $3,000 with all of our fundraising activities and this Giving Group at Give Meaning is just another tool! Our online goal with this Giving Group is $1,000 which shouldn't be too hard with all of our loving and supportive family, friends & Co-workers. Remember anything donated ($5 dollars and up) is given a tax receipt by Give Meaning. Give Meaning also hosts our site for free so if you donate and want to kick in a couple extra bucks for their expenses (there will be an option) don’t feel shy! Give Meaning also donates 100% of the money raised—Wow! Aren’t local Canadian companies great?! I actually know Tom the founder of Give Meaning and my man John Lowry is a co-founder, and they're great too!
The walk takes place on September 23, 2007@ 8:30am at Stanley Park! If you're in the city come on out and join the RED HOT Team!!!!
