What will the coming "personal robot revolution" do for human rights, biology, and business?
This documentary by Katherine Dodds (executive produced by Mark Achbar of THE CORPORATION) takes an entertaining but serious look at the future of robotics (as well as the robotics of the future) from the point of view of a female director, a female roboticist, and even a few female robots. Speculating on the future, through rooted in real stories about real-life robots of today, Kat turns her fembot-lens on the globalized web of technology, biology, economics, sex, power and violence that has produced today's humanoid robots as well as the wider context of technology and its impact on our society.
Ultimately she is examining what makes us human, what makes (some) of us female, and what makes us care about equal rights in a future world.
