SALAMA SHIELD Foundation’s The Safari Project is a collaborative effort of those who believe in current media as a vehicle for change. To be inspired does not come from hearing. We believe that inspiration is developed through seeing, witnessing, and experiencing. The goal of The Safari Project is to showcase the many projects, initiatives, and stories of the SALAMA SHIELD FOUNDATION, whilst providing opportunity -- in hopes that you the viewer, ambassador, partner and potential donor -- find it easier to donate and participate.
Why ‘The Safari Project’? This project and media-based site is a visual example of our relationships to those on the ground in Malawi, Lyantonde town and Kampala city, Uganda. The ‘Ethical Safari’, developed in 2007, is a learning based experience with open-forum discussions hosted in Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. It is an annual offer through the SALAMA SHIELD FOUNDATION. Ultimately, the goal of The Safari Project is to provide you, the viewer, with a navigational safari through the initiatives of SALAMA SHIELD, with the hope that you are inspired enough to witness them first hand on an Ethical Safari, and thereby, expose our projects to your social networks.
