The Education Concern Center (ECC) located in Kathmandu, Nepal is working to help improve the lives of students at Krishna Primary School in the small rural community of Gamauli. Children at the school range in age from 7-12 years. There are two government paid teachers and the others are supported by donations from the local community. The school has no access to clean water, no heat, no electricity and poor sanitation. They hope to soon build a 2-room addition to the school to house all of the children who attend.

Winter is arriving in Gamauli very soon, and the Education Concern Center would like to provide 110 of the children at the school with a set of warm winter clothes. In order to accomplish this, ECC would like to partner with a group of women from Yoshinkhel, Nepal who have joined forces to establish a knitting business.

In order to pay the women of Yoshinkhel for their work and the supplies necessary to make the needed items for the students, we need to raise approximately $800 which will cover the cost of materials, pay for the women in Yoshinkhel and transport to the students in Gamauli. Each student will be provided with a winter hat, gloves, a sweater and muffler.
Your donations will help us support not only 1, but 2 worthwhile projects pushing both one step closer to long-term sustainability. Without warm clothes, the children at Krishna Primary School may not be able to attend school consistently over the winter months which can last into April.

You can assist a student today for around 5 Euro/6 USD!
