Project Updates!!
A big and special thanks to our GREAT supporters! The Alaska-Argentina Crew, GiveMeaning, and individual donors like YOU!!!
Armed with your warm support GPN staff will be heading to Tanzania on April 10th, 2009 to finally construct the dream home for our kids and staff! The home will immediately support over 30 orphaned street kids, and will be located in a beautiful community on lake Victoria.
Adjacent to the home will be a community centre that will act as a learning centre for all of the kids in the community, as well as adults. This will be the central location for environmental projects, health projects, education projects, and income generation projects!
We have all made this happen together! Thank you, thank you

General Info
Global Peace Network is a Canadian charity with headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our activities focus on sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa with a large focus on supporting impoverished children and communities and the environment that surrounds them.
As of January 2009 we have done the following:
-Reintegrated over 300 street kids in to their families.
-Provided a home and loving care to over 100 orphans.
-Provided school supplies to thousands of students.
-Planted over 22,000 trees while educating villagers and youth about environmental issues.
-Educated thousands of people on malaria prevention, and distributed over 1000 nets.
-Visited numerous schools in Canada and Japan from elementary to university level to raise awareness and inspire!
