Healing Beyond Borders became a reality in November of 2008 when a group of four massage therapists made a trip to Vancouver's WISH Drop-In Centre for women. We spent the evening massaging women, most of whom are survival sex-trade workers, many are addicts and many are homeless. These women do not typically get touched in very healing ways, and bringing massage to them provided both practitioners and recipients a sense of connection that was as profound as it was healing. We'd like to continue to do this kind of work, and to do so, we could use donations for items such as linens, pillows, a massage table or chair and transportation. Our needs are relatively small, but the work we do fills our hearts!
