The Ohler Family are very loving and incredible people; their good nature is well known to all. Whether they make you a fabulous meal, help fix your car, teach you how to farm, attend your events, bring you to the lake, or just keep you company - The Ohlers will definitely show you the best in hospitality.
An unfortunate and terrible car accident in December, 2008 has caused a world of heartache for the Ohler family and all those who know them. Dale Ohler suffered a severe spinal injury and as a result, he has been left with limited mobility in his legs. The community of Stavely has shown an overwhelming amount of support in fundraising for the Ohler family. Financial assistance will help with renovations to their home, purchasing a new vehicle, and adapting to a change in lifestyle.
My Goal
My name is David Hardman. I am a fourth year business student at Mount Royal College. In order to complete the final portion of my degree, I have planned an event called "Rohlin' for the Ohler's". I will travel 1,000 km by bike (Kelowna, BC to Stavely, Alberta) from August 2-9, 2009. In doing so, I hope to raise over $13,500; which will be used to purchase a customized Polaris Ranger from Ranchers Supply in Claresholm. This vehicle will be operated using hand controls and will enable Dale Ohler to continue to navigate his farm in Stavely, and do the things he loves most.

100% of all proceeds will go towards the purchase of this vehicle. No contribution is too large or too small, and every penny goes towards this worthy cause.
Added Incentives!
Numerous artists and bands from Calgary have contributed songs to help the funding of this project. The album is called "Love and Talent" and features 14 incredible tracks and is available through davidhardman.com. People who contribute $15.00 or more will receive a complimentary copy of this album, courtesy of The Hardman Organization. Additional funding for the Rohlin' for the Ohler's bike ride will be obtained through sponsorships, partnerships, and volunteer efforts.
