It’s all my Biology professor’s fault! He assigned an extra credit paper (which I desperately needed) on stem cells. Consider my mother his accomplice. She sent the video link of Duke University performing a clinical trial of stem cell therapy on a Cerebral Palsy patient. Stem cells are injected to replace damaged nueron cells causing CP.
After researching, I thought I could use my own adult cells, though they’re less effective in treatment. Then I discovered a company that only used stem cells from full-term births. The company is based in California, US, but treatment would be administered in Mexico over a 1 or 2 day period. There are 2 methods of treatment: Lumbar Puncture for $19,500 or via IV for $14,500. I don't know which method would be best for me yet (hence the higher price as Budget).
Do the injections work? I want to find out, but I haven’t won the Lottery yet. I do know I want to live my life to its fullest capacity; living on my own without family’s worry, cook (though I’m sure the frozen food companies will miss me), drive, volunteer physically, travel, be more efficient in the workplace, and run around with the family puppies. I might not be do all the things I want to, because the results vary greatly, but any improvement would be worth it!
