Pratham BC Foundation is a non-profit organization, run fully by volunteers, to help end child poverty and illiteracy in India. It's members , inspired by a vision to make a difference in the lives of the most needy children, help provide learning opportunities for pre-school children in the poorest communities. The unique learning model employs teachers who are trained from within these communities. The teacher and child, both mutually benefit from this learning experience, where one feeds the other in developing their self-worth and self-confidence. For little as $15Cnd, we can help educate one child to do basic reading, writing & counting. The "Pratham" model is simple, unique, replicable and scaleable. No money is spent on immovable assets, construction or infrastructure. Every attempt is made to reduce overheads as much as possible. Today, Pratham has formed solid partnerships around the world sharing a common vision " Every Child In School and Learning Well ". What's beautiful, is that Pratham India's administration cost is below 7%, that gets your maximum dollar going to help children at the front lines.
