FOMO (www.fomo.co.uk) is a community-run organization making a huge impact in local villages - providing food, clothing, daycare, health care and education.
This is the second year for this fundraising campaign led by Gillian MacDonald and Ian Ross. In 2008, they exceeded their $4,200 target in a campaign called Project 42 (www.givemeaning.com/project/project42) that involved Ian running the Ottawa marathon (42km).
Last year, Ian and Gillian also visited the orphan centre during a three-month journey through Africa. It was both heartbreaking and inspiring. The kids were facing huge challenges, yet had the most wonderful hugs, smiles and optimism.
