Dear Friends and Family,

While I have spent the last ten years of my life doing many wonderful things, including finishing school and growing a wonderful business, at the end of the day I want to be apart of something bigger. Mostly, I feel, I have worked, and worked a little more. I am proud of that work and effort, however, at a certain point you want for something more than the work of your own benefit and to be apart of something much larger than yourself. To know that something you have done in your life has helped humanity, maybe even changed it for the better. This is where I have felt my heart leaning in the last months, maybe even years. It was not until I had a few patrons of mine tell me of their travels and encounters on missions trips to Africa, that I felt I had found a calling and knowing of where I could put that effort. While on their limited encounters they learned about the magnitude of plagues, the loss of moral integrity, a void of compassion in government, corruption of the worst kind, poverty of the penniless, and sickness that has no cure. Even before hearing of their experiences, I began having a desire in my heart to somehow travel to Africa and see for myself the injustices, and hopefully in some way, help.

When I learned of StrongHeart Fellowship, I immediately felt this is where something can begin to change the cycle that has brought millions of people to their knees, begging for help, from anyone, from anywhere. I believe in the Mission of StrongHeart (please read on their web page), and I personally believe that the StrongHeart orphans will become the mission carriers, and are the best source to inspire new hope for a continent that seems lost. I hope that if nothing else, your thoughts and prayers will be with me and the orphans who will get a new Home to gain new Hope, Life and Perspective for Us All.
