The mission of Two Wheel View is to educate young people on the environment and local culture of areas in N. America and abroad through educational bike adventures.
We live in an increasingly global environment that results in one of two things. Either we isolate ourselves ideologically from those who we do not understand, or we explore our differences and similarities, and attempt to engage the world we live in head on.
By exposing young people to other cultures and environments through an intense hands-on experience, Two Wheel View believes we can open young people's eyes to new ways of thinking and positively impact them and create positive change in their communities for the future.
Two Wheel View provides the opportunity for willing youth to travel to distant lands and experience the rich diversity of our global community. The bicycle becomes a potent tool for delivering our future leaders to locations where social, cultural, economic and environmental differences may become fascinating contrasts - while at the same time allowing youth to participate on a personal level with families and communities perhaps surprisingly similar to one's own back home.
Two Wheel View exposes youth to the physical environment, through play and fitness, at a level rarely seen in typical tourism skewed cities. By directly engaging in the natural surroundings, this "Two Wheel View" can instil a passionate sense of stewardship and with it, the responsibility to safeguard wildlife, habitats and environmentally sensitive places for others to experience.
All youth should have the opportunity to expand their physical and cultural boundaries. Often many of the youth who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in these types of learning programs, due to financial or social limitations, are never exposed to what may provide the greatest source of learning – real life experiences that bring home valuable insights and logical steps for positive change.
What this GivingGroup will do:
We offer FREE PROGRAMS for young people to discover the world from the seat of a bike. Your generous donation will ensure youth can travel abroad as delegates and participants in cross cultural communication and a change for sustainable future. Bicycles, equipment, fully trained staff, international travel expenses, food and accommodations are all covered through your funding.
