Who We Are:
UrbanPromise has been active in Vancouver since 1997. UrbanPromise works with primary children and youth at four sites in the inner cities of Vancouver & Surrey, teaching the skills necessary for spiritual growth, academic achievment, life management and Christian leadership. The mandate of UrbanPromise is to serve families who are facing many challenges in our community.

Our Aim with GiveMeaning:
We're looking to purchase a Barbeque which will be used to serve lunch to over 100 people at our 8th Annual UrbanPromise Fun Run in April, which will help raise much needed funds to help keep many of our programs operational and accessible to those who need them most. In addition to our April fundraising event, the BBQ will also be used in other important fundraisers such as our hot dog sales outside the Broadway/Commercial Safeway.

Your generous donation to help us purchase One BBQ will help us fund our programs which helps us develop hundreds if not thousands of the next generation Christian leaders in Vancouver and beyond.

We are meeting a need in our community and making a difference in the lives of children and youth. Most of our income comes from donations from individuals like you! We receive no government funding, other than a grant to pay some of our youth leaders during the summer.
