A Project Proposal of CN-Educational Support for Orphan Children
1. Introduction:
Baglung is one of the four district of Dhawalagiri zone, western Nepal. It is surrounded with Parbat in the east, Rolpa and Rukum in the west, Pyuthan and Gulmi and Myagdi in the south. It is extended from east to west and its shape is almost similar to the shape of Nepal. The headquarter of this district is Baglung bazaar and it lies in the eastern part of the district. Baglung Bazar is not very far from District Headquarter so all NGOs and Governmental offices are in bazaar due to this, people of the remote area of this district are feeling very uneasiness. Through the eye from development it is very much back warded. More than 50% inhabitants of this V.D.C. are Dalit, Tribal and Backwarded.
2. Background:
Baglung district is one of the remote district of Nepal. Total population of Baglung is 2,86,973 among them total children population is 1,16,658 according to Census of 2002. Large number of People of this districts are depends on agriculture. There economic condition is very poor. Because of economic condition 21% children are far from education. Due to the low economic status of them they can not join in School and 4% children's are dropped out. This district is also affected by conflict. Many children had lost their parents so they can not get regular education. Scholarship provided by District Education Office is not enough for all children and the Non–governmental organization of this district are centered in the District Headquarter and its neighboring village development committees and its program and plan is only centered in neighboring villages, so they are not able to reach in the conflicted villages. At this time many NGOs are vanishing or decreasing here who had worked in the children's’ sector.
Concerning this reality and internalizing a need to bridge this gap in education, Concern Nepal has initiated various endeavors to provide quality education to as many children as possible and start working from Baglung district.

In this condition children are living in critical situation. They can not get opportunity for good education.
3. Aim:
To give opportunity for getting education to the poor children.
4. Objectives:
–To maximize education level of Dalit, Tribal, Poor and back warded Children of this district through empowering them.
–To create environment to go to school for the children of target group.
5. Activities:–
- To provide educational materials for target groups.
6. Expected Achievement:–
- Dalit, Tribal, Poor and back warded peoples’ educational level will be increased.
- The children of Dalit, Tribal, Poor and back warded community will go to school.
7. Implementation Procedures:–
- The programmed will be regularly supervised and observed from program implementation organization.
8. Programme Supervision and Evaluation:-
The programme will Supervised and Evaluated in coordination with Concern Nepal Baglung, District Welfare Board Baglung, and District Education Office Baglung.
