UPAHARANA CHARITABLE & EDUCATIONAL TRUST (reg: 736/09. Chennai) is a Non – Profitable & Charitable organization with the objectives & aims to develop the growth of Human Potentialities and Develop the within unknown Skills of the Poor Students. The motto of the organization is

“Awareness of the time will bring you the sense of Urgency: Ignorance of the time will bring you the sense of Apathy”

Having this in mind, we have to raise funds for our projects needs ( To fund educational needs for 138 Poor Students down South India.) and Families For Children, An Orphange where we have 250 children.
At present we have 138 students in different classes, different Govt. schools. This coming Academic Year we plan to support 100 students.
The question is how we choose the talented Student:
Recommended by School Teachers & Correspondent.
Thru friends & relatives.
We identify in common public places by speaking to them.
You can also recommend.
We all know that talent is not own only by people who can afford for their children’s studies. We all have personally come across so many children who are well talented in studies but could not meet their education expenses, where they finally land on streets
Begging, some as child working to survive or to support his/her family, some get involved in small petty criminal case ends their lives in major criminal offence.
According to human psychology if the financial needs are not met even the healthy mind reflects apathy. Nowadays we all know how the schools demand.
The average expense per student is $500/- per year.
Having this in mind, we have to raise funds for our projects needs

We have 138 students who are getting sponsorship for their education through Our Trust, Our trust also does Fund raising events but Unfortunately we incurred a huge loss in one of our events which was washed out due to rain.

Thanks
Upaharna Trust.
