Welcome
Bonjour tout le monde! This summer I will be joining more than twenty other riders on a 3000km bicycle journey from Vancouver to Tijuana! The Agents of Change "Riding to Break the Cycle" campaign raises money for microcredit initiatives to help in the fight against global poverty.
What is Microcredit?
Small trust-based loans are provided to developing world entrepreneurs, who might otherwise be ineligible for financial support. It is a poverty-fighting concept that won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for the founder of the first microcredit bank in Bangladesh.
Why I'm Involved
I like to ride my bike. I don't like global inequalities and a general feeling of helplessness to do anything about it. I believe that overcoming these challenges requires hopeful projects like this one-- to inspire and to change.
How you can help?
Make a donation! Any amount will be greatly appreciated and they can be made anonymously through this page. And a big thanks to everyone who has extended their support (moral and financial) so far! Along with the cheques mailed in and the money raised on the ground in Montreal, $2300 has been raised so far!
About Me
Originally from Manitoba, I just finished a university degree in mathematics and have begun teaching at a beautiful college in the city of Montreal! I can recite exactly three digits of pi!
