In Seattle; Wednesday
Hi!
Here we are already in Seattle. Each day is filled with so many wonderous adventures. We had a lovely day yesterday cycling along bike paths in the pouring rain, over one hundred kilometers. Everyone made it back home safe and sound!
Our hosts all along the route so far have been encredably generous and kind and fun!
This team is AMAZING and I look forward to spending more time with everyone.
Check out www.globalafc.org for our daily updated group blog.
Till next time, EmmaB
BBQ and Jess
This afternoon I am co-hosting a bbq at Adams place. We will talk about the pledge ride, microcredit, and eat yummy food! You are invited, email me for details!
Jess, my co-leader is finally up in Vancouver now, she has been co-organizing the trip with me from far away down in San Fransisco. Now we are together and things are moving faster than ever! How exciting!
Thanks,
EmmaB
Hello!!!
I'm riding from Vancouver to Mexico to raise money for micro-credit!!!
You can help me out by donating anything from $10 to the whole $3000 goal! Everything helps, it really does! the first micro-credit loan given by Mohammed Yunnus was only 11 cents! If you don't have a credit card send me an email emmabanks@gmail.com and we'll work out something.
Thanks for reading and for helping out!
Sincerely,
Emma
Hi!
Emma Banks here, ready to ride the tires of my bike until I raise $3000 for micro-credit! (then I'll start on the frame).
So a bit about me if you don't already know all the facts of my life. I was born in Vancouver, trained at circus school, dreamed about travelling, and I'm a social/ environmental justice addict. I got into this social change thing because I grew up attending Montessori alternative school as well as my mom and dad both being active in the community and encouraging me to be too!
Agents of Change rocks my socks off because it combines doing something I love that is benificial to myself and the environment with something that makes a whole lot of sustainable positive change for everyday people! Go microcredit!
I encourage you, whomever you are, to donate to get involved with this ridiculously rad cause whether it be by volunteering your skills, or by donating online, or by riding with us!
peace,
Emma Banks
