This development project in Nicaragua focuses on health and sanitation technology and is dedicated to helping people in underdeveloped communities improve their quality of life. For the past four years Project Nicaragua has been assisting, teaching, learning and expanding. Located in the rural communities that surround San Juan del Sur, a rural fishing village in the south Pacific, Project Nicaragua is committed to fair and economical initiatives. It is a multi-faceted project that assists local people, delivers training and establishes micro-entrepreneurs. Project Nicaragua is divided into five aspects:
1) "Ecofogones" economical stoves
2) Biosand Water Filters
3) Latrines
4) "Amigos de Ojochal" preschool
5) Local Dentist and Oral Hygienist
